At the Texas Centennial in Dallas Autry confuses two girls by being himself and his own stunt double. When cowboy star Tom Ford disappears, Wilson gets his double Gene Autry to impersonate him. But Ford owes gangster Rico $10,000 and Rico arrives to collect. He fails to get the money but learns that Autry is an impersonator and now blackmails Wilson and his movie studio. Original version runs 71 minutes, edited version runs 59 minutes.

Classmates Laaj (Waheeda Rehman) and Shyam elope to Bombay with Laaj's necklace, which they hope to pawn to pay for their travels. On the train, a crafty journalist named Pran (Dev Anand) overhears the lovers' plan and follows them in search of a story. When Shyam snatches the necklace and runs off, it's Pran to the rescue. Loosely based on Franz Kafka’s short story, 'GIVE IT UP!' is a live-action animation odyssey through the confusion of life in the modern world. The narrative follows a lone salesman trapped in a timeless city, increasingly lost in his feverish dreams. Desperate, he races towards a train station as his last hope of escaping the city, encountering divine light, winding roads and the forces of bureaucracy. This deeply personal and referential work preserves Kafka’s absurd humour and pays homage to Weimar cinema of the 1920s, but also elevates the text to an existential meditation on authority, purpose and human helplessness.
